Utilizing a proprietary process, our experienced staff has formulated unique metal implant gel chip allergens specifically designed to test for metals frequently used in orthopedic, cardiovascular, dental implants and dental restorations.

The metal implant gel chips are placed on a polyester hypoallergenic tape that keeps the panels securely in place, yet doesn't constrict patient movement. Metal implant gel chip panels are fixed and are not customizable.

Why use metal implant gel chip allergen panels?

When the allergen is applied to the skin, perspiration and transepidermal water loss re-hydrate the gels which then releases the allergens onto the skin. This creates optimal skin exposure as well as homogeneous distribution, thus minimizing false positives and irritant reactions.
